Darcy Wade, M.A., LPC, RYT

My name is Darcy Wade, and I am an artist, therapist, and creative advocate whose work lives at the intersection of creativity, nature, and holistic healing and recovery.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a self-designed focus in Creative Arts Healing and a minor in Studio Art from Appalachian State University. I later returned to App State to earn a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with concentrations in Body-Centered Therapy and Expressive Arts Therapy. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado, as well as a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher. Through my counseling work, personal art practice, and nonprofit work, I have spent years exploring how creativity can support growth, self-discovery, and resilience.

My artwork is inspired by the natural world, human emotion, and the many ways our inner and outer landscapes reflect one another. Through detailed ink drawings, painting, photography, writing, and other creative practices, I explore themes of transformation, belonging, impermanence, and connection.

Alongside my private counseling practice, I serve as Executive Assistant at Open Hearts Art Center, a nonprofit organization supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through creative expression and community inclusion. These experiences continually reinforce my belief that creativity is not reserved for artists. It is a deeply human tool for healing, understanding, and connection.

When I'm not working, you'll often find me creating, exploring the mountains of Western North Carolina, dancing or searching for small moments of coziness and joy in everyday life.

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to learn about me.
